We're So Close Now....Critical Days for ADA Restoration

****ACTION ALERT!****

These are important days for ADA Restoration. Earlier this week, advocates from the disability community met with Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) regarding our next steps.

On Tuesday, the House Committee on Education & Labor will hold a hearing on the legislation, and in just a matter of weeks, we could be looking at a House floor vote. These are critical days in the House for ADA Restoration.

HELP MAKE THEM COUNT!

WHAT: Majority Leader Hoyer has personally asked all grassroots advocates to contact their Members of the House - ASAP - and tell each of them to support ADA Restoration, H.R. 3195, and why it's so important that they do.

(View ADA Restoration talking points.)

WHEN: Now! There's no time to lose. Members will be in their districts next week on recess. We have a lot of Members to contact - 435 of them - with our message - fulfill the promise of the ADA and create an equal playing field for people with disabilities in the workplace!

WHO: All Members of the House of Representatives. Even the co-sponsors need to hear from us again as to just how important it is that they vote for ADA Restoration.HOW: Locate your Representatives by entering your zipcode at www.congress.org and email, fax, write, and call your Representatives today and during next week.

SHARE: Tell us who you've spoken to and what they said. Email us your updates at aapdanne@earthlink.net.
